A “classic Clare” vintage, 2021 underwent cool and dry conditions producing solid yields and fruit with great varietal character and natural acidity. Cabernet fruit was chosen from a few select vineyards that exhibit exceptional varietal characters and power of fruit. The elegance of fruit comes from the southern vineyards whilst the structure and backbone come from the northern Clare parcels. Mulberry leaf and nutty spice aromas lead to a layered palate of dark fruit, with mouth- filling texture offering great intensity and richness. Chalky tannins are seamlessly integrated from maturation in French and American oak hogsheads.
